SALIC receives the delegation of the Australian State of Victoria and the Ambassador of Colombia

The CEO of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), His Excellency Eng. Suleiman bin Abdulrahman Al-Rumaih, received the delegation of the Government of Victoria, Australia, His Excellency Mr. Qassem Younis and Mrs. Emma Page.  The event was held at SALIC’s headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of a number of company officials.

The meeting discussed ways of cooperation and reviewing investment opportunities available in Victoria state in the agriculture and livestock production field.   The two sides also discussed the performance of SALIC’s current investments in Australia, that represented by Meridian Farms, wholly owned by SALIC since 2019,  operating in the fields of grain cultivation and livestock breeding, in addition to The Australian company Minerva Foods, which SALIC owns 35% of the company’s shares , operating in the field of red meats

 

In a related context, the CEO Eng. Suleiman Al-Rumaih, discussed with the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the Kingdom,  Mrs. Ana Milena Mineos de Gaberia, at the company’s headquarters, issues of common interests in food security, where the ambassador also discussed the available investment opportunities, and comparative advantage in the field of agriculture and animal production in Colombia.

 

It is noteworthy that SALIC is present in the Republic of Colombia through one of the red meats skinning factories affiliated to its investment in the Brazilian Minerva Foods Company, which owns 25 skinning factories in South America and exporting to more than 100 countries.
