SALIC wins a tender to supply 180 thousand tons of wheat to the Kingdom

The Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) has won the tender for the last batch of the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) for supplying 180,000 tons of wheat. The specified quantity will arrive divided into three shipments to the local ports. The first one will arrive in October of this year, and the other two shipments in February 2023.

Furthermore, the quantity that SALIC will supply from its foreign investments comes within the program to encourage and support Saudi investors abroad, which includes diversifying wheat purchasing sources, enhancing food security in the Kingdom, and supporting the strategic stocks of basic food commodities.

Moreover, SALIC noted that the company had won the supply of (12) shipments to the Kingdom this year with a quantity estimated at (720,000) tons of wheat, representing 20% of the Kingdom’s annual purchases.
