Director General of Islamic Organization for Food Security Visits SALIC

The CEO of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), Eng. Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman AlRumaih, received on Thursday, September 15, 2022 Mr. Yerlan Baidoulit, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, at SALIC headquarters in Riyadh in the presence of several officials of the company and the organization.

 

During the meeting, Eng. AlRumaih reviewed the role and contribution of SALIC in achieving the Kingdom’s food security strategy, focusing on its strategic directions, local and global investments, and challenges. On the other hand, the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) talked about the activities of the organization since the General Assembly’s meeting in its second session in 2019.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) was established in 2011 during the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organization seeks to achieve many objectives, including providing expertise and technical knowledge to member states in sustainable agriculture, rural development, food security, and biotechnology.
