“SALIC” receives the ambassadors of Australia and Pakistan

The CEO of SALIC, Eng. Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman AlRumaih, and several SALIC officials received today the Ambassador of the State of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Mr. Bilal Akbar, and his accompanying delegation at SALIC’s headquarters. He also received the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Mark Donovan, and his accompanying delegation yesterday, Wednesday.

At the beginning of the two meetings, Eng. AlRumaih discussed the role of SALIC in achieving the food security strategy in the Kingdom and its strategic directions by reviewing the success stories of its local and international investments and the challenges it faced. During the meeting, discussions centered around aspects of cooperation in both Australia and Pakistan in the field of agricultural investment and ways to enhance it given the opportunities and competitive advantages that the countries have in producing commodities to support food security.

It is noteworthy that SALIC is a company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund and aims to invest in 12 basic food commodities inside and outside the Kingdom in order to achieve the food security strategy of the Kingdom.
