The Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company “SALIC” announced that it had won the tender for the first batch of the Saudi Grains Organization “SAGO” to supply 240 thousand ton of wheat, which will arrive through 4 shipments to the local ports during the period from August to October of this year.

SALIC added that the amount it will supply from its foreign investments comes within the framework of the program to encourage and support Saudi investors abroad, as one of the programs to diversify sources of wheat purchases and enhancing food security in the Kingdom.

Last year, SALIC had supplied 355 thousand tons of wheat through its foreign investments, with 6 shipments reached 4 local ports, where this quantity represents 10% of the Kingdom’s annual purchases.
